Course Timings
Our Herbalism School's Wheel of the Year

Each year of the course includes 75 live teaching hours across:
- Four full day immersive in-person sessions at our beautiful yurt in rural East Yorkshire, just an hour's drive from York - one per season
- Two 12-week seasons of hourly deep-dive sessions live online Tuesdays and Thursdays each week - a total of 48 sessions
- A closing ceremony and celebration in-person at our yurt
Our herbalism courses follow the cycles of nature, rather than a traditional academic school year. Our teaching season begins with the greening of the land in Spring and concludes as the earth prepares to slumber the Winter of each calendar year.
The rhythm of each year of our courses is as follows:
Spring Gathering
April
one full day
10am-4pm
Spring/Summer Live Zoom Sessions
every Tuesday and Thursday
1 hr per session
12 weeks
Summer Gathering
one full day
Summer Break
mid-July - August
no gatherings or online sessions
Autumn Gathering
in-person
one full day
Autumn/Winter Live Zoom Sessions
live online (recorded for reference)
Winter Gathering
in-person
one full day
Closing Ceremony
in-person
one morning or afternoon
All sessions are recorded (audio for in-person gatherings, audio/video for online sessions) and shared on the student portal for review, with lifetime access for future reference.
Depending on the cohort, we occasionally have a few live online sessions before our autumn gathering or after our winter gathering, but we always reconvene for the second term after 1st September and conclude at our closing ceremony.
You can find the specific dates and timings for upcoming cohorts below.
